ALT−C Systems signs Remarketing Agreement in Mexico

MONTREAL - June 30, 1997 -

ALT−C Systems Inc. announces the signing of a Marketing agreement with Sistemas Integrados S.A. (SISA) of Mexico City. Sistemas Integrados will sell and support ALT−C Systems' TimeTrends® forecasting software in Mexico and Central America. Sistemas Integrados provide manufacturing and ERP-related computer software services, consulting, programming and support to a wide range of customers in Mexico. The major product line serviced by SISA is MFG PRO from QAD.

Sistemas Integrados chose TimeTrends as a "best-of-breed" forecasting software to integrate with other manufacturing modules. The recently released TimeTrends Forecast Warehouse module's Open Systems data structure (ODBC-compliant), Year 2000 and Internet capability were important factors in this choice. It is designed for Sales/Marketing, Logistics and Finance users. Utilizing 32-bit code written in Visual C++, TimeTrends® runs under Windows 95 or Windows NT in stand-alone or network environments.

Designed as a relational database system supporting multi-dimensional queries, TimeTrends can store not only individual item histories, forecasts, overrides, promotional information, annotations and such but also different versions of the same, along with accuracy calculations and user-defined fields containing data replicated from the host system. Users can execute pre-defined or ad-hoc SQL queries into the database to create custom views of the data, as well as create their own calculations such as days' supply, inventory stockturns, standard cost of forecast error, pro-forma revenue change and more.

A TimeTrends forecasting database can be created electronically by querying any ODBC-compliant corporate or external database, whether this be an Enterprise system (ERP), MRP system, data warehouse or other, using database environments such as Oracle, SQL Server, and others. Forecast results from TimeTrends can be written back to the Master Production Schedule (MPS) of an MRP / ERP system, scheduling / simulation systems, corporate data warehouse or other network applications.
