ALT−C Systems Inc. and MIS AG announce Strategic Alliance

MONTREAL - August 24th, 1998 -

ALT−C Systems Inc. of Montreal, Quebec and MIS AG, headquartered in Darmstadt, Germany, announce their intent to exchange selected software technologies. ALT−C Systems proposes to integrate the MIS Alea toolset within its Forecast Warehouse system, designed for Windows 95/NT. This would allow dynamic extraction of data from the TimeTrends® relational ODBC-compliant database into MIS Alea "hypercube", thus permitting multi-dimensional analysis using an Excel interface. The intuitive "drag and drop" capability of rearranging data along different dimensions, while drilling down to the desired level of detail, provides end-users with powerful analysis capabilities within a familiar environment.

TimeTrends already provides a powerful administrative system for all forecast-related information, allowing both the creation and management of forecasts within a Y2K-compliant, Internet-enabled 32-bit application.

MIS has an internal project to check and evaluate whether the TimeTrends mathematical engine could be incorporated in the MIS Solutions product line. MIS Solutions, which provides advanced business intelligence capability, would thereby allow users to easily create forecast projections of data series within OLAP (on-line analytical processing) hypercubes being employed in budgeting, controlling and planning applications. In addition to MIS Solutions' advanced budgeting and analysis functionality, their users could create easily forecast on-the-fly. ALT−C Systems and MIS are seeking to expand their International Sales.
